POSITION SUMMARY:
Management Business Solutions is seeking a Human Resource Assistant for an automotive manufacturing company in Grand Rapids, MI. This individual will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks including assisting hiring managers with the interviewing, hiring and on-boarding process as well as additional administrative functions.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work with hiring managers to post job ads, screen incoming applicants, and perform necessary background/reference checks.
  • Provide scheduling assistance and calendar management.
  • Works with managers to ensure performance reviews are done timely and accurately.
  • Assist in new employee orientation, conducts training, including development training in HR related areas (interviewing, coaching etc.).
  • Maintain employee personnel files and compliance for I9 Forms.
  • Work with management to develop and update company policies.
  • Contribute to the employee newsletter.
  • Assist in coordination of company events. 

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2+ years in an administrative role required.
  • Associates Degree required.
  • Experience working in HR functions within a manufacturing environment required.
  • Database management experience preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • High degree of professionalism and ethics.
